Cofounder
Project designed to grow into a startup, but failed after the MVP kick-off. The MVP itself got stuck on its "first step" (we did not tweak it after the first set of hypotheses was measured and evaluated).º The app that got the hypotheses / MVP tests step was "Põe pra jogo": its value proposition was to provide easy access to idle assets in dense urban areas. The value should be delivered by connecting people through a goods-sharing network with the use of geotagging and levels of Facebook friendship to increase safety and trust. Items could be donated, exchanged, given or lent and users would be evaluated, tagged and ranked (with gamification aspects) according to trustworthiness and niches (Is user A a book lender? If so, what type? Does user B have all the home improvement tools existent?)º The period in which we tried to develop the app was an amazing learning opportunity in terms of: - Developing a feasible Business Model and receiving specialists' feedback about it - Picking the right hypotheses to be tested to achieve market-fit (and further developing the hypothesis-driven business mindset) - Constantly delivering different pitches to different audiences (angel investors, programmers, designers, potential users and so on) - Knowing when things start to go wrong (after all, we did not get to the first working version of the app!)
