As a senior application developer working on the Salesforce platform one serves two main goals. The primary of the two goals is the support of BlackBerry's use of the Salesforce platform through custom development. The other is the support of the Salesforce team, larger IT team and business operations teams with training and process inprovement.On the Salesforce platform my involvement spanned the entire life cycle of the custom feature development BlackBerry utilized. The inital phases include participating in process requirement gathering discussions with business stakeholders, designing feature implementation plans and communicating those plans for project scoping and resourcing to my leadership. During implementation documenting solution designs was common, this documentation aided dividing the solutions into deliverable units to be distributed across developers, administrators and co-op students. Throughout sprints I'd assist in the monitoring and maintanence of the release health. For larger project go lives executing production deployments myself was less frequant than orchestrating them amongst team members. Assiting in root cause analysis after the fact or during a production incident was common as well.As a senior memeber of the salesforce team I would help educate team members on team processes, salesforce administration, salesforce development as wel as how to package Salesforce changes to be migrated and added to sprint releases for the day to day platform support. Over time I created a number of local command line tools that supported team processes and salesforce packaging which were released to the whole team. As well enforced implementation strategies utilized amongst salesforce developers followed appropriate patterns to avoid Salesforce platform governance limits and developed software libraries to improve those strategies.

Internally I facilitate the entire development life cycle of the software tools that support the four lines of business in which Virtual Causeway engages. The technologies with which the internal tools have been developed are mainly Salesforce(Apex, Visualforce), Python, PHP, Javascript, HTML, CSS and VBA.Externally I design, implement and deploy software solutions for clients of the Technology Services line of business as well as training end users of the solutions. These solutions mainly involve custom Salesforce implementations and integrations with various other SaaS and on-premises systems. Also I facilitate implementation and deployment of digital surveys for the Market Research line of business based on provided client specifications.
