Manage the development and establishment of a new fabrication division within a large New York based design and marketing firm. In that role I was responsible for the development of a 20,000 sq ft facility based out of Long Island City, NY, leading a team of 20 employees divided into multiple departments; design, fabrication, digital fabrication, and packaging. All aspects within this new sector of the company were under my direct leadership including; hiring, scheduling, client dialogue, hands on fabrication, team building, project time tables, and cross company interfacing. I would ensure the timely and successful exe-cution of each project using my wide understanding of complex and layered workflows that vary from traditional craftsmanship to digital fabrication methodologies.

Undergraduate Design Studio focusing on hybrid concepts to the idea of “Shared” Hospitality Environments, each student spending the semester designing their own restaurant. Materials & Assembly Introduction Course focused on giving students a general under-standing of materials and how they can be used or applied. Students were then asked to develop prototypes focusing on specific materials leading to an end of the semester built installation.

Introduction to Digital Fabrication w/ Parametric Computation Course explored the qualities of materials such as wood, foam, plastics, and varies other composites in the context of computational design and digital fabrication. Projects provided students with experience in the use of a variety of tools and emerging digitally-driven technologies, including parametric rule-based design, subtractive digital fabrication, assembly techniques, and iterative design processes.
