I am currently working as a Laboratory Technician in the field of Construction Materials Testing (CMT). I hold a Bachelors Degree in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering (validated by Engineers Australia) and also I'm also a Carpenter/Builder by trade (Certificates III & IV). I have professional experience in a wide range of activities in the primary sector and also in construction. One of my professional goals is to apply sustainable materials in the construction of dwellings making them affordable and environmentally sustainable. I am a well-rounded professional, very adaptable to any business environment, from the office to the factory. I have excellent communication skills as well as a hands-on problem-solving approach. Since my childhood and during my upbringing I have specialised in being a generalist, with no clear view in which field I was especially good at. Although I ended up with a slight tendency to logic and exact sciences subjects, influenced by my father's work in steelmaking. I have always enjoyed human sciences too, specially philosophy and geography. I see myself as a "Jack of all trades", one that can be extremely flexible in a broad range of environments. I tend to get bored with repetitive tasks or tasks that do not demand a considerable amount of brainpower and creativity. I am one to be out and about, but I can also sit down and concentrate on problems for a long period of time if needed. In a world where employees have become more specialised than ever having someone like me could be at first counter-intuitive, however I am confident I can be of a great value to any organisation I work for when presented with autonomy to solve problems, be they technological or behavioural. I am sociable and interactive, a team player and a low-ego kind of employee. I do think it is important to sometimes spend time specialising going deeper into a specific pool of knowledge as long as that is purposeful for the accomplishment of the task or project. Lastly, I want to stress my great passion that is permaculture and anything that is related to a regenerative technology for planet Earth.
