Majority of new substations that I commissioning were IEC61850 compliant, due to the protocol interoperability I was able to integrate multiple IED vendors to the same SAS (substation automation system) and overlap the network troubleshoot with the automation engineer using network sniffers or IEC61850 diagnosis tools. My responsibility was commissioning which encompass all secondary electrical circuits, IED logic and trips, SCADA integration, generate test reports for logic and protection element using Omicron or Doble test sets.
