CEAF, a project composed of Facamp and partner companies, offers the students of the third year of Production Engineering the opportunity to apply the theoretical knowledge acquired so far in practice. The project lasts three semesters and aims to map a process, suggest improvements and implement them. Each semester is assigned to one of the above activities. To that end, we have mentor teachers and an internal mentor from the chosen company.

The project came about through the partnership between FACAMP and Unilever in the discipline of Production Engineering Topics I - Advanced Topics in Operations with a focus on packaging. This project is the waste reduction of the 1.5L and 2L packages of Kibon ice cream. In addition to waste reduction, we challenge to improve packaging according to customer requirements, raised by research developed by the multidisciplinary project group itself. The challenges are great and creativity is essential to achieve a performance above the goals proposed by the company.
