Reporting to the Vice President of Production. Responsible for guiding all activities in the design, development, and implementation of processes, procedures and systems that ensure high quality hardware that meet the program schedule and the organization's cost objectives. Ensures compliance with internal and governmental regulations as well as promotes a delivery of quality services that supports and reflects SSL’s Mission, Vision, and Core Values.• Implemented a functional cross training program that established requirements for each business unitand provided senior management with a visual snapshot of the organization’s performance. This projectresulted in a reduction of recurring overtime with a savings impact of $2.8M.• Reduced incoming mechanical and first article inspection time by 25% in the first nine monthsof being appointed to the position.• Established and managed department overhead and program cost accounts.
