I was six years old when my mother opened the Argos catalogue and asked what I wanted from Santa for Christmas. I immediately pointed to the drum kit. Since then, I've not stopped pursuing my love for music.Music makes people happy — what would the world be like without music? TV? Film? Radio?I have ten years’ experience of working in the music industry under my belt coupled with a degree from the University of Salford. It is among the top universities for music in the UK with recording and performance facilities comparable to the best in Europe. I've worked in every corner of the industry: playing live in bands and theatre shows, session recording work, TV work, recording bands as the engineer, live sound, event planning, and depping work. Doing depping and recording work has regularly pushed me to engage with new material and people quickly. Band work requires excellent communication, time management and creative skills in order to thrive in the industry. Confidence and being able to think on your feet are also key qualities for playing live shows.I carried my passion for music through to The University of Salford where I studied a course that covered professional development, research and writing, game audio, post-production audio, and studio-based recording & composition. Moving home to finish my degree due to COVID-19 challenged my resourcefulness and adaptability to rapidly changing situations. I thrive under pressure. All of this feeds into my enjoyment of media projects; be that creating videos on Premiere Pro or taking photos and editing them using Lightroom and Photoshop. Hobbies and interests: I have a passion for football, tennis, cycling & general health/fitness. I have a competitive, team-player attitude and a drive to win. I love travelling and trying new foods/local cuisines. I also enjoy composing music, playing live shows and cooking.Specialties: Logic Pro, Pro Tools, analogue tape and outboard hardware; audio for media; sound design and foley; composition (film, games and general); playing the drums.
