    I prepared the Piedmont and Aosta Valley volumes of the Repertory of Dutch and Flemish Paintings in Italian Public Collections. The Repertory is actually a complete catalogue of the Dutch and Flemish paintings in Piemontese and Aosta museums, churches, monasteries, town halls, etc. Most paintings and frescoes in Piedmont (over 1100 entries) are by seventeenth century masters, such as Anthony van Dyck, Peter Paul Rubens, Rembrandt and Frans van Mieris, but there are some outstanding works by older artists like Jan van Eyck, Hans Memling and Bernard van Orley.
