Located on 31st and Kedzie this project is scheduled to open in the late fall of 2017. Innovated, financially sustainable, 1 million square foot community development projects that will help improve the lives of more than 400,000 residents. For over 120 years, Saint Anthony Hospital has served as a faith-based hospital on the Southwest side of Chicago. Serving a predominantly African America and Hispanic population, Saint Anthony Hospital’s mission is to promote health and provide quality care to patients and families of all faiths in our community.In 2008 Saint Anthony was the only member of St. Louis-based Ascension Health System in the state of Illinois, but in July 2009 Saint Anthony separated from Ascension making it the first hospital to leave a large system to become independent. Following several years of financial losses, in 2008 the hospital started seeing a positive bottom line and has continued to maintain a positive financial position since, allowing it to continue its mission to serve the community.Operating with 152 beds, the hospital has approximately 35,000 emergency visits, 9,000 annual admissions, and 1,300 deliveries a year. Inpatient care includes intensive care, behavioral health, maternity center, and children’s hospital. Saint Anthony Hospital also operates three outpatient care clinics, five rehabilitation and physical therapy clinics and two community wellness centers. Saint Anthony Hospital is a forward-thinking organization, developing new models for community care that lead to the overall success of the community. The hospital will be relocating to a new state-of-the future facility at 31st and Kedzie, serving as the health care anchor to the new mixed-use Focal Point Community Campus.
