My work at Microsat Systems Canada Inc. focuses on the development and testing of actuators for microsatellites, such as reaction wheels. This work involved performing tests on microsatellite reaction wheels and analyzing test results at all stages of the production process and developing performance specifications for spacecraft actuators under development. Additionally, I performed digital signal processing and filter design on reaction wheel telemetry and was tasked with performing product assurance and configuration and data management for reaction wheel in the production process.Additionally, my responsibilities also included performing analyses for microsatellite mission concepts. This involved performing geolocation and reaction wheel sizing for Phase 0 studies of microsatellite mission designs, as well as expanding the functionality of MSCI's satellite attitude determination and control system and reaction wheel simulators, and then simulating satellite mission operations for Phase 0 satellite mission proposals.

In addition to my PhD research, I was an active member in small satellite projects. My responsibilities consisted of:• Designing a simulation for assessing satellite communication for spacecraft attitude design alternatives. (STK)• Assisting in Thermal Vacuum Chamber testing of CubeSat component testing. • Development of geolocation algorithms for a proposed 1U CubeSat technology demonstration mission. (MATLAB/STK)

My duties as a teaching assistant have involved working as a lab demonstrator, tutorial leader, marker/grader, and as an exam invigilator for a variety of undergraduate courses at all levels in engineering, earth and atmospheric science, physics, and in the Division of Natural Science.
