Guy Collins is a woodworking enthusiast who has been enjoying woodworking as a hobby for 20 years. It all started when his gate was destroyed in a wind storm.After obtaining a number of quotes to rebuild the gate from local carpenters and home improvement stores he decided to try it himself. Not knowing much about woodworking or carpentry, he looked at other gates around the neighborhood, found one he liked, and virtually copied it.He purchased a circular saw, a cordless drill / screw driver, a portable workbench, a new hammer, and he was on his way to a life long hobby. A home improvement store assisted him in selecting the lumber and hardware for the gate.Once the gate was built, he received many compliments from family members and neighbors, and was asked on many occasions to provide his services in return for money. The pride and satisfaction he received from building this simple gate lead to a passion for woodworking.Over the years he has perfected his skills, and has completed over 300 different projects ranging from furniture, shelves, and children's toys, to bunk beds and dog houses.
