The corporate acquisition of the Threads Division of Dixie Yarns by A&E, afforded me the opportunity to be employed by A&E. My responsibilities, as a part of the A&E corporate Technical Services staff, included;• Developing standards and documentation for future expansion and planning purposes.• Supporting the corporate LAN/WAN infrastructure, PCs, Netware and Windows NT environments.• Planning and deployed the corporate Firewall.• Key player in the Frame Relay/Router rollout, deploying servers, routers clients and services nationwide.

I managed the Technical Support staff and datacenter and infrastructure for NC and SC.facilities. Responsible for all telecommunications, the LAN/WAN infrastructure, PCs, Network File and Print services, software and hardware standards, network documentation, and Mainframe issues for all the Dixie sites in North and South Carolina.• Project manager, from design through implementation, for all network expansion and PC related projects for multiple manufacturing and office sites.• Utilized Novell NMS, Compaq Insight Manager, Bay Networks Optivity and Racal-Datacom CMS400 to proactively manage the LAN/WAN environment.• Designed and implemented Switched 100MB Ethernet, and Token-Ring topologies, Bay Networks routers, switches and hubs.
