Provide guidance to CNB's various commercial lending units on structural/risk analysis and borrowing base issues for healthcare lending transactions. Prepare credit underwriting memorandum to document proposed structure, risks and mitigants, analysis of financial trends, and feasibility of projections for current and proposed commercial banking clients. Commercial lending products include revolving lines of credit, real estate transactions, and healthcare ABL products. Completed Certified Healthcare Banker program.Major Accomplishment: Wrote credit policy standards and procedures for new healthcare ABL loan product which convinced the Bank's Executive Committee the Healthcare Initiative had the expertise necessary to effectively manage the risk of entering this specialized lending market.

Responsibilities include:• Review financial spreads and underlying collateral of potential new clients to ascertain prospective availability and potential loan structure before issuance of proposal letter.• Prepare memorandum for new clients and assigned ABL accounts which detail the appropriate ABL structure, collateral and loan trends, identification of ineligible collateral and potential issues which could affect collateral realization in the event of a distressed situation, credit policy exceptions and mitigants, reporting requirements, identification of future exam issues, and financial spreads.• Prepare changes to standard loan document language for new and current ABL clients, which agree to the proposed and/or approved eligibility and reporting requirements. • Review of monthly collateral and availability trends for assigned ABL accounts to identify areas of collateral deterioration which would require remedial steps to safeguard the bank’s collateral position. • Train other line personnel at various commercial banking offices on the principles of asset based lending. • Perform special projects such as collateral examinations and assistance in the ABL operations department as needed.

Set-up the underwriting department, establishing formalized credit/underwriting procedures to improve the flow of underwriting information to the Credit Committee. Established pre-screen format for potential new clients to assure only closeable transactions are put through the underwriting process. Established network of outside contract auditors and standardized the on-site audit program to assure information supplied to underwriting and portfolio management is accurate and reduces credit risk.
