Guy Gross is a multi award winning Australian film and television composer, APRA Ambassador, recipient of the APRA/AGSC International Achievement Award, past President of the Australian Guild of Screen Composers and founding member of the composers' collective Church Street Studios. He has guest lectured at the AFTRS (Australian Film, Radio and Television School) and the Sydney Conservatorium of Music.From his British Academy Award (BAFTA) nominated score to the international hit "The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert" to the US hit SCI-FI series "Farscape", his classical training has resulted in scores covering a huge variety of styles. Over his 35 year career, Guy has composed music for hundreds of hours of television, including dramatic mini series, children's animation, documentaries, reality tv, commercials and also a number of Australian feature films, special events and installations. His scores have been performed in concert by the Sydney, Melbourne and Queensland Symphony Orchestras.In recent years Guy has scored the feature films “How to please a woman” “Swinging Safari”, tele-movies: "Dangerous Remedy", "A Model Daughter - The Killing of Caroline Byrne", "Joanne Lees: Murder in the Outback", "Scorched", and the documentaries: "The Howard Years", "The Prime Minister is Missing" and "Who Killed Dr Bogle and Mrs Chandler?".From 2003 - 2015 Guy was a partner and director of Trackdown Digital. In 2015 Guy founded Church Street Studios; an autonomous collective of music, sound and screen professionals located in Sydney's inner city. All members of Church Street operate independently but when necessary collaborate to offer an unparalleled comprehensive music service. Guy also mentors and consults to a number of screen composers and film practitioners.
