Consultant in the working within the water sector in the areas of Asset Management, Business Planning, Water Metering and Water Quality.Projects include development of water company PR09 & PR14 non infrastructure and PR14 infrastructure business plans. Undertaking water network distribution asset management studies and development of an intranet based data management system . I have produced technical documents in the areas of network metering, distribution asset management plans, asset condition assessment, asset risk quantification and project prioritisation and water quality investigations. The documents have enabled the development effective asset management strategies.

Planned the Clean Water Treatment investment programme. Managing a programme of work consisting of projects ranging from £3k to multimillion pound infrastrucutre schemes. I managed the non infrastructure PR09 business plan development including deterioration modelling, rationalisation schemes, consequence costing and development of scheme costs.

I managed the £2 million pound revenue meter exchange and maintenance programme for South West Water. The programme of work included 8,000 planned jobs and up to 2,000 reactive jobs per year, managing 2 partner contractors to undertake the work. I manageda team of 12 technical and admin staff to interface with customers, plan the workload and audit completed work.

Worked in all areas of water & waste water operational science from source to tap and sink to sea. Provided scientific expertise trouble shooting problematic performance at treatment works and the distribution network, developing methodologies to safeguard water quality, improve performance and manage changes to operational practice.

Quality control chemist in a cooking oil and margarine production factory. Working with the production team monitoring cooking oil and margarine product quality (both chemical and microbiological), packaging and customer acceptability.

Undertaking scientific studies and investigations to develop the company corporate data archive, develop the sludge to land database and improve performance of waste water treatment works.
