• Promoted European Union Trade interest, coordination for visa exemption, technical cooperation in science and technology, education exchanges
• Contributed to the adoption of a visa waiver for Taiwanese citizens visiting the European Union

• Obtained the accession of Taiwan to the Government Procurement Agreement
• Encouraged the participation of Taiwan in the European Union satellite navigation project (Galileo)

• Established regular exchanges between the EU and Korea in the field of competition regulation and science and technology
