Building something new. From my long service in the Israeli Air Force, I've learned that operating the most complicated machines and technologies at a high level of execution, requires an organized process and defined teamwork. Perfect execution relies firstly on the mental and psychological ground, the ability to put your own ego aside and be as neutral as you can towards the product and the team. These concepts and lessons learned from my time as a military and airline pilot, are the foundations for my personal development as a product manager and a team lead.What is product management to me?- Product Manager is a PROBLEM manager. The majority of PM's time and energy should be focused on a continuing refinement of the problems that the company is facing. I believe that a deep understanding of the problem is vital to a solution. - The most important competence a PM needs to possess is the skill of translating: Translation of company strategy into a product roadmap, explanation of high-level goals and creating for them the appropriate tech requirements in the highest resolution, and ultimately knowing how to explain and measure the success of the most abstract ideas. The PM must master all company languages - the business, the technical and the UX languages.
