My time as a Senior Conductor was divided between delivering a face-to-face point of contact for the company during journeys to collect revenue, assist with travel questions & generally provide excellent customer service, whilst also being able to maintain route knowledge, position myself in the correct part of the train for various stopping points and safely dispatch the train in a timely, yet practical manner. I enjoyed my time with West Midlands Trains, having gained a wider understanding of the types of clientele that used the services, varying from commuters, families on days out, people who were not frequent travellers & party goers at the weekends.
