My story begins over 30 years ago, when I launched a property management company in Northern Manitoba. Soon after, I discovered I wanted to get into the sales side of things. I quickly achieved a real estate broker’s license, hired agents, grew my business, and sold it to a major company. Since then I went on to gain experience in residential, commercial, retail, office, land assembly, industrial warehousing, seniors housing, construction and development. My career has taken me to many places as well, such as the three years I spent as a partner of a company developing office buildings in Moscow, Russia.What really got the ball rolling for me, though, was when I was trying to close a real estate deal in my early days. My client said, “son, cut the BS. All I want to know is, who have you worked for twice?” With those simple words, a ball was set in motion.I came to realize that for the vast majority of people, their home is the largest investment they will ever make. I believe that someone should be helping them manage this asset well before (and long after) the point of sale! The lack of this service is why so many don’t use the same real estate agent twice. This philosophy has not only been central to my own success in this industry, but holds the key to winning out in the midst of significant industry disruptions.I originally developed this philosophy into a system for my children to succeed in real estate like I had. However, I believe this philosophy has the potential for much greater things. By combining education on how to provide full-cycle value as a real estate agent, and the technology needed to do it, I founded Home Investment Advisors Ltd. and RealOffice360. My mission is to empower industry professionals to build their businesses beyond the point of sale, to continuously add value, and solidify trust-based relationships with their clients.
