This included internal financial management, statutory reporting, budgeting and the rolling strategic 3 year plan. In addition I had extensive international treasury and tax responsibilities.Specific achievements included:• Introduction of new IT products to assist in reporting and operational performance measurementduring a period of rapid growth, both organic and through acquisition.• Hands on responsibility for improving the financial management of several acquired businesses inthe US (New Jersey and California) and Germany.• acquisition of a Munich based engineering group for £70m including a simultaneous placing and open offer in addition to arranging committed bank debt and complex treasury operations.• Initial approach, valuation and due diligence on a small business in the former East Germany(Dresden).
