I am Principal Arboriculturist and co-founder of established tree and woodland consultancy Enviroscope Consulting Ltd based out of the historic City of York, North Yorkshire. I am also also a professional member of the Arboricultural Association. I am qualified with an MSc in Environmental Forestry and the Professional Diploma in Arboriculture (Level 6). I am a Certified QTRA user and hold the LANTRA Professional Tree Inspector award. I operate and experienced in PiCUS Sonic Tomograph for decay detection. I have 30 years experience in the industry; working as an Arboricultural Consultant within multi-disciplinary companies, as a local authority Tree Officer and a period of overseas work in China before establishing Enviroscope Consulting Ltd. I have recently undertaken a number of arboricultural projects in five African countries and Brazil. As Principal Arboriculturist with Enviroscope, I lead tree survey and assessment for projects of local and national significance, with clients including developers of single bespoke houses to mixed-used developments, private gardens and visitor attractions including RHS and Yorkshire Sculpture Park, advice to rural estates on management and restoration of heritage treescapes, and tree safety and risk assessments including for Cambridge County Council and Bettys & Taylors. The focus of my work is to always provide professional advice, practical solutions to constraints and targeted and high-quality reports; thus providing clients with the reliable and robust consultancy they desire and need.
