Key Account Manager driving operational expansion for sunday in the UK

Brigad is an app that enables self-employed hospitality professionals and hospitality businesses to connect for short-term missions.I am driving the expansion of the business into the UK by working on developing the London & Birmingham markets.Brigad launched in 2016 with the mission "to make work accessible and attractive to all" and since 2020 has a mission-driven status.

Tap Social are a unique Oxford-based social enterprise who provide meaningful employment to ex-offenders across two hospitality venues, a brewery and commercial bakery. I revitalised their flagship venue: increasing sales by 50% through specific project management, built business analysis & metrics to improve KPI visibility and strategy, oversaw extensive training and recruitment, codified social impact practice and set an example of leadership to drive the business forward.

Launched London Holloway and Reading Central branches for the Unicorn start-up Gorillas, I managed a large team (50+ staff), recruited and developed talent for rapid growth, and upheld HR standards.I developed KPI metrics and visibility to improve efficiency and impact. Developed operational playbook for use in multiple stores.Supply chain and logistics management to ensure resilience, quality control and product availability, working across departments within the start-up.

FareShare is a charity which redistributes surplus and otherwise waste food among a national network of frontline groups. I had a contract role to facilitate the allocation and distribution of a £16m DEFRA grant to prevent winter hunger during Covid-19. I managed third-party logistics delivering 600 pallets of food every week, reported to government stakeholders and was point of contact to the wider charity network (150+ groups), logistics firms and suppliers.

I co-founded Peckham Springs, a high-volume venue in South-East London, comprising of three bars, two kitchens, a gallery and an events space. Hugely popular and cornerstone of Peckham's nightlife economy, it grew from a pop-up in 2013 to a highly successful business with an annual footfall over 100,000 people and 40 permanent employees. As Operations Director I was responsible for all operations and financial performance. Including budgets, forecasts and financial models, P&L, payroll and accounting systems, KPI frameworks for operations, management of business development projects, and offering and product, alongside health & safety and HR responsibility for the company.I also helped set company culture and our example of leadership. And recruited, developed and line-managed senior talent, in addition to the management of key-stakeholders from public officials to key suppliers and contractors.
