Starting out in a family business like many persons I started early at 15 years of age working with my grandfather and later my father. I first learned HVAC and Refrigeration systems. I was fortunate enough to work some really old style systems that were really more industrial equipment. When I was 19 I was fortunate enough to get into the electricians union with the help of some of my fathers contractor friends. After an apprenticeship with the IBEW I worked for some large electrical contractors for a period of about six years before returning to the family buisness. I worked with Petree's Refrigeration till 1987. I then left and started Westwind Inc. in the Salinas Valley. Westwind later became the original family company in 1990 with a name change to Pemcon Inc. Since then we have specialized in Design / Build Electrical,Mechanical and Refrigeration contractors. We specialize in the Ag industries engineering and constructing postharvest, processing and cooling facilities and equipment. With over 60 years of business experience our goal is still the same, to deliver our customers the best product we possible can.
