I was a Telecommunications Engineer for Mia Direct.My daily duties included rodding and roping of underground duct sections to ensure they are fluid and clear of blockages, the installation of CBTs (underground and overhead), the pulling of cable and subduct as well as fibre blowing. I also supported other members of staff whilst on site.

I was a self-employed subcontractor for a local grounds maintenance company, visiting different pubs, industrial estates and other business sites around the West Midlands. As well as my day to day responsibilities, which include weeding, hedge cutting, lawn mowing and maintaining the customer's property to a high standard, I also supervise and assist other members of staff who may be struggling as well as promoting the business by making suggestions and offering advice to customers on how further improvements could be made.

I worked on the track at Jaguar Land Rover for nearly 7 years and during that time I held various different jobs which required me to follow different, but specific processes including quality checks and ensuring all cabling relevant to that process had good electrical connections. Some processes required me to work as part of a team while others required me to work on my own. I was also a cover man which meant I had to cover different jobs in the event of a colleague being sick or on holiday.
