It comprises 3500 dwellings both private and affordable, a district centre of mixed commercial / retail use, schools, community facilities and includes extensive infrastructure works including significant ground remediation, major road and service diversions / upgrades, including a motorway junction and both formal and informal public open spaceAs Project Director I am responsible for the whole development and represent the Directors of the development consortium, responsible for managing all their endeavours in discharging their obligations to deliver the scheme. I monitor and manage the consortiums business plan, accounts, the overall programme and all construction activity at a strategic level.The legal structure of the scheme is complex and I represent the Developers, in liaison with the development solicitors, in all legal matters pertaining to the scheme.I continually review strategy, programmes and budgets in order to drive improvements in margins through alternative strategy and solutions, value engineering and searching for further funding and additional revenue opportunities to secure The Project Director is the key hub of the intricate management structure linking all parties and forums across the development. For each new phase of the development I lead the procurement process to appoint and manage the consultant teams and contractors, lead the reserved matter planning application process and finally lead the project teams through the delivery of each phase,The role also includes being the public face of the consortium and to chair all management and stakeholder meetings. The Project Director is the primary contact for all matters concerning PR, communications, press and the media.
