As Head of Procurement at Paradigm I am responsible for the design, implementation and delivery of the company’s procurement strategy. My remit covers £27m of annual influenceable spend, supporting the various business needs across the organisation from Property, Development, Housing Operations and Corporate & Finance. Since joining in 2017 I have created and recruited to create a new Procurement function to support the business, which focuses on business partnering, early engagement and pragmatic, professional advice. As an active member of the organisations Leadership Group I am passionate and committed to delivering a high-quality procurement function and working collaboratively with my peers to drive improvement right across the business.I am responsible for leading and coordinating large, strategic procurement projects, most recently leading the reprocurement of our Housing Management and Finance systems, as part of a wider business transformation project.I provide regular reports and verbal updates to Management Team on the Groups procurement trends, which includes core data on spend, the procurement forward plan, Contract coverage, P2P and recommendations for future action and focus areas i.e. Off contract spend, opportunities and risks. I have lead the development of a new approach to reviewing, monitoring and engaging with our Business Critical Suppliers to ensure we are effectively managing the risks associated with those relationships, as well as standardising our approach to Social Value and delivering a review of our Tier 1 Suppliers in respect to Modern Slavery.

Guy was responsible for the management of £100m influenceable category revenue expenditure, including Public Realm, Parking Services, Passenger Transport and Fleet, Sports and Parks, Consumer and Business Protection and Community Safety. Guy’s role was to devise and implement strategic sourcing strategies for the category and manage multiple OJEU compliant procurements

Guy was responsible for the development and implementation of strategic sourcing plans (SSP) in order to deliver value for money for the Association for all goods, services and contracts and to provide specialist advice and guidance on best practice procurement techniques throughout the organisation.The role required the project management of OJEU compliant procurement across a broad range of categories including Professional Services, Construction Consultancy, Legal Services and Repairs and Maintenance. Guy supported the implementation of a Category Management model and wider business transformation projects.

Guy successfully delivered a number of complex projects including a 10 year Term Partnering Contract for the Installation and Maintenance of Lifts, Digital Aerial Installation and Maintenance, Boiler Maintenance and Low Voltage Electronic Systems (Alarms, Door Entry Systems, CCTV) Installation, Repairs and Maintenance As part of the role Guy has developed a sound understanding of engaging with residents and leaseholders and in undertaking Section 20 consultations with those stakeholders
