As VCS Procurement lead my main responsibilities include, organising and unifying food security projects in the borough to ensure coherence and present bulk buying opportunities. Food supply to our pantry models and external models in the borough utilising established food supply chain relationships, line management of warehouse and logistics teams. Oversee logistics and operations.

Main responsibilities, food supply with major partners and stake holders, line managing kickstarter staff, managing volunteer drivers, scheduling day to day operations. handling food supply for foodbank as well as our Peckham pantry models, creating more dignified access to low cost healthy foods.

With the pandemic forcing a lock down, I lost the freelance work in night life, but my volunteering for Foodbank went full time as I headed up logistics and operations. The four foodbanks in the area shut due to lockdown so we had to turn the service into deliveries, 250-300 clients/familles needing emergency food per week. Myself and my band of furloughed volunteers dealt with this demand, 50-70 clients per day, five days a week. Food supply was also my responsibility work with partners such as Tesco, ASDA, Sainsburys, Aldi, Fareshare/Felix and City Harvest to ensure food levels were as high as possible to deal with the increasing numbers of people in need. Also secured 14k funding from Sainsburys. We did such an efficient job the council of loaded their emergency food service on to us so we were delivering to their list of vulnerable clients in the borough.
