I amI am a DEDICATED TEAM PLAYER:As a Miami University Farmer School of Business student, I have been shown how to work effectively with a team right from my first couple classes. I began my journey by taking the First Year Integrated Core(FYIC) which is a 4 class curriculum aimed to solve a problem for a real world client FC Cincinnati. This was done in a team environment which not only tested but improved my collaborative ability. Being that I have an upbeat attitude, I was my team's glue guy. My positive energy helped my teammates and I find a solution to FC Cincinnati's attendance problem. Overall, this experience was invaluable in the way that it gave me exposure to developing essential team skills to solve real world, complex business problems.I am DETAIL ORIENTATED:As previously stated, my client was the professional soccer team FC Cincinnati and the prompt they assigned was the definition of detail orientation: Generate a metric based on MLS statistics to increase fan attendance. In addition to being my team's glue guy, I assumed that detail orientated role being that I was lead coder. I used SQL skills to build a code that effectively analyzed players and actually ranked their importance to improving attendance. This entailed organizing all of my code findings into an extremely detailed excel spread sheet which helped me draw conclusions from the data. At the end of the Client Challenge, I was asked to be a Teacher Assistant for next semester which I did take part and helped continue to improve my detail orientated mind.I am DRIVEN:Throughout my college career, I have been pushing myself looking for challenges and ways to get ahead. Last semester, I applied and got into Farmer's Business Honors Program. This program placed me into a selective cohort where like minded students constantly push each other to achieve their goals. Being in this environment has made me more motivated than ever to achieve my professional goals.To put it all together, I am a dedicated, detail oriented team player who is driven to push and prepare others to tackle complex business problems.I am eager to meet and connect with new people.
