Provide results-oriented leadership in designing, implementing and managing projects under this thematic area sponsored by DFID. Senior level management position, reporting to the FSDZ CEO, direct supervision of 6 Managers and various consultants in the areas of Savings Groups, Rural and Agriculture Finance, SME Finance and Inclusive Insurance. Build and maintain extensive stakeholder networks across the respective sectors, and provide intervention opportunities.Manage grant recipient organisations and support capacity development. Initiate and oversee technological innovations. Design and manage research initiatives that build deeper insight into the financial needs of farmers and rural households. Identify gaps, market-driven opportunities and potential innovations in the thematic area that align with FSDZ’s strategic goals and objectives and the principles of M4P. Coordination of DFS activities under UNCDF and Agrifin. Selected Recent Achievements:Portfolio development: Finalised Financial Services strategy, project and intervention plans resulting in a projected savings group portfolio of 110,000 savings members through 4 grantees, start-up of a local training institute and new research savings group agenda, SME Executive diploma and Live Lab, weather insurance index for 70,000 farmers.Acting Director: Increased role and responsibility for daily operations and management of FSDZ until the transition into a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) takes place. Provided strategic input into new organigram and took on responsibility for an increased number of interventions outside of the job description (Capacity building Bank of Zambia, agriculture finance assessment, direct management of finance, human resources and operations).Fiduciary Responsibility: Signatory for all program expenses and verification of implementation of appropriate operating policies, systems and procedures to ensure FSDZ’s financial viability and compliance with DFID regulations.
