Guy Verkest studied polytechnic engineering (Univ. Ghent ’86) and postgraduate energy-management (Univ. Antwerp ’90) and is from 2002 until 2015 Technology-manager at Distrigas.He is Safety Prevention advisor, level1 (ULB 2009-2010). 2016-2020: Guy Verkest is Technology Mgr. & Operations Mgr. at Gunvor Petroleum Antwerp. He is active member at IVPV Univ. Ghent and also at the Royal Flemish Engineers Association KVIV-IE-net, and the energy- & chemistry-workgroups of KVIV-IE-net.Specialties: experience in chemical, petrochemical, petroleum processes & operations ; process-rethinking & re-engineering/re-organisations of teams ;LNG-experience in cryo-storage , -shipping and processes in ethylene,propylene, LPG;With a track record of safe and efficient projects & operations with chemicals, utilities and people; and with Juridical expertise in several environmental-disciplines & safety Cases.Guy joins the teams of "water-link" as Program Mgt. Office & Sustainability in Oct. 2020. And in 2023 he performs as LNG-Safety advisor at Exmar-FLNG-project.
