As a regular feature writer for the Mail and Mail on Sunday, I cover an enormous variety of subjects, ranging from smart motorways to Jeffrey Epstein, and from cyber security to ivory from woolly mammoths.

I have recently been helping a select handful of charitable projects with their media strategy and how to get their messages across. I find it invaluable to be present at the early days of decision making, so I can advise on how a strategy will play in the media.

I regularly appear in many documentary series, and have presented my own 6-part series called Nazi Victory. I naturally enjoy being on camera, and also helping others to hone their presentation skills.

I'm a polished and confident speaker, and take pride in always speaking without notes. I like to think that I can keep audiences awake with energy and humour. It doesn't always work.

I have written some ten books in a variety of genres, including history, thrillers, and comic novels, all of which have been published in many languages.

I advised companies on how to engage with print journalists. Clients included Coca Cola, British Airways, RBS, Tibbet & Britten, and I provided advice on how new corporate directions and projects might play out.

I started working at The Times during my final year at university, and worked in a variety of roles, before heading up a department that produced extremely well-received partwork magazines that helped drive sales of the paper.
