I am a qualified lawyer and hold a BSc (hons) in Forestry from the University of Wales, Bangor and the University of British Columbia. Having achieved Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Foresters I have held several high-profile roles with leading forestry and land management businesses in the UK and Finland. I have contributed to and authored numerous research papers on forestry markets and investment trends and was invited to present my ideas on novel forms of finance to the Independent Panel on Forestry at DEFRA. At HAMERKOP, I lead our advisory services combining strategic advice to corporates, NGOs and international organisations on all aspects of carbon finance and climate impact pathways and developing, supervising & delivering high quality carbon, biodiversity and social impact land use and clean energy projects (e.g., forestry, agriculture and clean cooking) funded through carbon and climate finance.
