I missed the pace, intensity, creativity and size of the telecoms industry and returned to Vodacom as a part of the Vodacom Internet Company start-up team. This included negotiating a joint venture with Worldonline International, a pan European internet start-up company. Head-hunted to this role, my responsibility was leadership of all components of financial functions of the Group (30 branches & 300 staff) Key Successes:- Strategic digitisation of the centralised manual timesheet processing, this being a core part of the business. This included processes for de-centralisation of the function and equipping the branches with IT equipment and training.
