Since 1996 until 2006 I was employed by the Australian Army as a field engineer dealing with various tasks from construction works, operating plant and other equipment. I currently hold a White card, Intermediate rigger and dogman tickets, working at heights ticket and a HC driver’s license. After this time I have worked around the mining and Construction industry in various roles throughout the Hunter Valley. My main occupation is a Crane operator and rigger. I have worked with companies such as Boom Logistics, Monodelphous and Biglift Cranes. My duties were, and are not limited to Dual and multiple crane lifts, operating cranes from a 20T Franna to a 60T slew cranes, rigging for cranes up to 200T, I have also worked on shutdowns changing out various parts on diggers, shovels, Draglines, Dozers, CHPP shutdowns, changing suspension ropes on various heavy plant, Swing gears, Winch drums etc. I have also worked on construction projects with companies such as Abi Group, Leighton’s, John Holland etc.
