About Guy Williams
Guy has led the financial and commercial teams of some high profile organisations culminating in leading the substantial worldwide growth of the Soho House Group over the last 10 years. Guy trained as a chartered accountant (C&L) and then moved into the hotel industry spending 5 years with Intercontinental Hotels & Resorts as a travelling accountant and Corporate accounts manager.At the advent of professionalism in rugby in 1995 Guy followed from his playing days into becoming the first Finance Director of Harlequins RFC. Here Guy was involved in operational matters as well as financial and secured major sponsorship deals and player contracts.With the building of the Millennium Stadium and the 1999 World Cup hosted in Wales, Guy was selected as Group Finance Director of both the WRU & Millennium Stadium. Both projects were completed on budget and on time and were two projects that Guy was significantly involved in.From Cardiff, Guy moved back to London to join Bill Kenwright Limited as Finance Director in 2005. Guy was involved in the financial restructure of Everton FC as well as ensuring the growth of one of the most prolific producers of theatre in the UK.In coming to Soho House as CFO Guy has helped grow the company from £40M business in 2007 to £400M business today. Guy steered the business through a rights issue and two acquisitions.Guy’s role has evolved into being Chief Development Officer focusing on the international development and expansion and has been heavily involved in the future deals for growing Soho House into cities around the world including Istanbul, Chicago, Barcelona and throughout the Americas.Guy works closely with Nick Jones (founder and CEO of Soho House) and helps him build the business.Guy is passionate about all sports (especially rugby - he played for London Welsh and Bordeaux) and food and drink. Guy speaks fluent French and Italian.
