Letterkenny Army Depot

Ensured that the depot met the Army’s on-hand inventory readiness requirement for all generator assets. Tracked incoming and outgoing generators on the depot and monitored the progress of generators through production, using the Logistics Modernization Program (LMP), the Army’s version of SAP.• Created and distributed weekly Stock Transport Order (STO) Reports to Supply Specialist in Directorate of Supply and Transportation (DS&T) showing open, completed STOs for a specified routing identifier code that could be closed. Resulted in a 95.4% reduction of open and completed STOs within 3 months.• Ran Inventory reports per the request of others, detailing stores locations, stores types, condition codes, batch numbers, and inventory counts.

Managed an $111,000,000 generator reset program as a liaison between Letterkenny Army Depot and the customer base. Provided consistent and timely status reports of production to customers. Ensured that the customer loaded a reasonable forecast into the Army’s Logistics Modernization Program (Army’s version of SAP). Established unit funded costs for future programs. Negotiated, accepted, and closed customer programs.• Led a team of two production controllers and 2 shop coordinators, worked closely with plant management, and assisted the customer with loading demand into LMP system, achieving an average monthly on-time, ship-to-schedule performance of 98.7% during the 2010 fiscal year when demand for Generators doubled from 2544 units to 5124 units.• Organized In-process Review meetings with the customer at Letterkenny, informing all parties of the times when different topics would be discussed so each participant knew when to attend. • Created material numbers, routings, and bills of materials for generator foam kits with the assistance from Engineering and the LMP Office; Enabled MRP to calculate accurate dependent requirements for foam kits required for various generator models.• Reviewed customer funding requests for correctness, before creating cost plans and accepting any programs for production.

Member of two newly formed Customer Focus Teams that supported key customers such as Cisco, HP, Dell, and IBM. Participated in conference calls with customers and team members, monitored ship-to-schedule and ship-to-request performances, coordinated planning efforts for tool moves, performed data analysis, and worked with product focus teams and part owners to resolve forecast issues and material shortages.

Controlled an average of $2,000,000 of inventory, and managed plating, die cast, private brand label, and purchased service commodities as well as planned the production for in-house assemblies. Placed purchase orders, wrote factory orders, processed change orders, obtained request for quotes, performed supplier cost comparisons, wrote debit memos, reconciled blocked vendor invoices in SAP, entered vendor contracts into the Tyco purchasing system, issued materials to suppliers, and supplied vendors with prints, engineering specifications, engineering change notices, and deviations.

Planned and scheduled production from raw materials to finished goods. Wrote, changed, and/or cancelled factory orders and purchase requisitions to satisfy both independent and dependent demands, using Materials Requirements Planning (MRP).
