I read law at The University of Leeds and qualified as a Solicitor in 1995. I head FBC Manby Bowdler's Litigation Department. That department is consistently recognised for the quality of our work in the Legal 500 and Chambers publications. I am used to dealing with high value and complex disputes.I have been recommended as a leading individual for my own Litigation work in the last 10 editions of the Legal 500 and am described as " very capable and commercial " (2012) , "does not sit on the fence " and "quickly gets to the nub of the issue" (2013) and "unflappable" (2014). Sometimes that objective is best served by a non-litigation route. I have conducted over 50 mediations to that end.
