Main Responsibilities:- In charge of the design of all projects as well as the oversight of the installation process- The majority of the projects that we do are industrial sites such as tire manufacturing, paper manufacturing, storage facilities, and logistics warehouses- Managed and supervised five CAD designers and assisting the estimating department in determining whether existing systems meet current code standards (NFPA, FM Global Data Sheets, and Local Fire Department Codes)- Designed projects requiring sizing of fire pumps, external yard mains, sprinkler systems (wet, dry, pre action, high expansion foam, water spray, deluge), hydrant systems, sizing of fire protection reservoirs, fire pump houses, basic detection and alarm systems, emergency signage as well as verifying egress and fire rated partitions meet local fire department codes- Responsible for hydraulic calculations, fabrication and As-Built drawings- Attended construction meetings and work closely with contractors, insurance companies, and authority having jurisdiction.

- Participated of the installation and modification to the fire protection/fire alarm systems at the U.S General Consulate in Sao Paulo, Brazil

Main Responsibilities:- Responsible for making sure the projects were completed on schedule and within budget, reviewing all projects prior to design and submittal to client and/or authority having jurisdiction for code compliance, scope of work, and design quality- Involved in thousands of projects- Designed wet, dry, multi-zone pre action, deluge, standpipe systems (wet/dry), fire pumps, limited area, and rack systems for base buildings, parking structures, churches, gymnasiums, various types of storage facilities, office buildings, residential, and historic structures- Performed hydraulic calculations for the above-described projects, cut and listed the material for fabrication and installation- Worked closely with contractors, architects, engineers, and authority having jurisdiction- Attended construction meetings to discuss and resolve issues during construction- Spent time with authority having jurisdiction resolving issues related to interpretation of NFPA codes- Worked with our estimating department on more involved projects
