Guy DuBeau is a partner in the firm and former chair of the Litigation Practice Group. His practice centers on two overlapping tracks. He serves health care professionals both in defense of alleged medical negligence claims and policy development. As a medical malpractice litigator, he has tried approximately 50 cases to verdict. He has represented health care providers in multiple appeals, arguing as lead counsel before the State Supreme Court four times in addition to appearing as amicus curiae on behalf of industry trade groups. He has testified to the legislature and presented directly to the Governor on matters of interest to health care professionals. He has guest lectured at the University of Wisconsin Law School, the University of Wisconsin Medical School and the Medical College of Wisconsin. His second professional track involves supporting Wisconsin's emerging cannabis industry. He has counseled clients regarding CBD distribution and hemp production. He is one of four founding member of the Cannabis Industry Association of Wisconsin, the first industry based trade group in Wisconsin supporting the development of an effective and responsible cannabis industry in the state.Mr. DuBeau is a frequent lecturer on a wide variety of issues to both health care providers and other attorneys through the State Bar, the Wisconsin Medical Society and private groups.In his spare time, Mr. DuBeau is the happily married father of four and an accomplished cook. He serves on the board of directors for the non-profit EAGLE School of Madison, as the board’s vice-president and holds a black belt in American styled karate.
