About Guyguy Mangoni
More than 18 year experience in environmental and natural resources management issues, I have been working as Expert with leading actors to help in the development and implementation of policies to enhance performance as defined by various Programs/Projects related to forests and biodiversity in the Congo Basin (DRC mainly). I also managed programs supervising staff, budgets and fundraising and worked with regional and local institutions like AVOCATS VERTS, OSFAC (a USAID CARPE partner) and advised at senior level ICCN (DRC) and its partners ( FBP GIZ and GFA-KfW, WWF, WCS, ..), within various programs (PACEBCo with AfDB, RAPAC, COMIFAC) and projects (PREPAN-World Bank,..) by providing technical, legal and institutional expertise in the effort to develop strategies for sustainable forest management, forests monitoring, protected areas management, management effectiveness evaluation and biodiversity conservation with an appreciable level of achievements throughout their implementation. I also gained experience on climate change issues (REDD+, CDM, Carbon finance,..) with emphasis on environmental and agricultural geomatics and developed the ability to serve as technical respondent both at the central and field level. At present Guyguy is working as a freelance Consultant within the AgroConsult "Green Program" and, with his communication skills, he focuses on preparation of technical presentations related to Biodiversity conservation, sustainable forest management, climate change and Carbon finance,... for a strategic lobbying in DRC.
