Guy Jelley is one of the founders of project portfolio management (PPM) and collaboration solution provider, Project Portfolio Office (PPO), and is the company’s CEO. PPO provide the services and solutions needed for companies to grow their organisational capabilities to improve strategy & project execution. Guy established PPO as one of the first ever African true Software as a Service (SaaS) offerings, in 2005 resulting in PPO being the first ever African winner of the Best of Software as a Service (BOSS) Award in 2010.He is committed to advancing the success of project management offices (PMOs) in South Africa and demonstrates his commitment through the sponsorship and chairmanship of the PMO Forum in Gauteng and co-sponsorship in Cape Town. Guy is a member and judge of the annual PMO Global Alliance PMO Awards and is regular international speaker at Project Portfolio Management (PPM) and Technology Conferences.With over 20 years of Project Portfolio Management (PPM) experience, Guy has equipped organisations with technology, processes and capability to drive strategic implementation by either implementing new PMOs, operating PMOs or optimising and maturing existing PMOs.Prior to starting up Project Portfolio Office, Guy completed his articles at KPMG and went on to project and programme manage a large number of complex financial and IT projects at large corporates such as First National Bank, ABSA, SABMiller, Kimberly Clark, Old Mutual and British Telecommunications (BT).Guy is a certified Agile Prince2, Prosci change management and PMO Value Ring practitioner and sits on the board technology and consulting organisations.
