Since 2007 I've built a reputation as one-half of the most highly-achieving education marketing leadership duos in the world. My brother Ben and I are founders of Sprint Education, an award-winning company that helps companies sell more to schools. As CEO I shape the 20+ team, commit to its long terms goals, encourage expertise and innovation, and generate predictable, repeatable, and high-quality leads for clients like:* BBC* Warner Brothers* Comic ReliefI was a teacher for seven years and quickly got promoted to HoD and then Lead Head of Music in Gloucestershire. In this role I was responsible for the improvement of Music education in over 300 schools. Crucially I held a budget and made buying recommendations for other schools. It was clear to me that the businesses that had the most marketing clout monopolised teachers’ buying behaviour with inch-thick ’go-to’ generic education procurement directories whilst others that could make a difference to schools weren't getting to the right teacher with the right message. If they did they failed to even articulate the benefits of what they were offering. The last straw came one day when a discounted music textbook email hit my inbox. I hated it! It didn’t speak of the educational benefits, it lacked key info (contact details), and didn't explain how to get the discount (no CTA).I knew that the book was superb (I had a copy), and would improve GCSE results in Music but pupils were going to miss an opportunity to get this book and the author was going to end up losing valuable sales.Excited, that day, I called my marketing and design graduate brother (who was back-packing around South-East Asia) and told him we were going to change the way businesses marketed to schools. He booked his early flight home the next day and the rest is history.I'm always ready to make recommendations on how you can create profitable relationships with the education sector. Email me at guy@sprint-education.co.uk and let's talk.
