I spent a large proportion of my career involved in the Telecom business and as one of the owners of Red Staffing, the other being Janie Kennett, we have always been looking for ways to make our business more efficient, and Push to Talk over cellular was one of them. Born from a Hurricane called Maria that devastated Puerto Rico, the predecessor of RED Staffing had gone on to provide some of the best people and equipment for other Temporary Power missions at the Federal and State levels. Eventually expanded to include all Wireless Access Lines.• Following the Nortel decision to exit the Fixed Wireless Access Business was tasked with the disposal of the business while ensuring that customer commitments and employee morale were maintained; this sales was completed to Airspan Networks in 2005 and a condition was that I transferred with the company.• Created an internal team and developed external OEM relationships that allowed Nortel to put together a successful bid to a major US Telco with a license for the MMDS spectrum in the US;• Following the need to deliver a product that better addressed the customer needs for Data and capacity enhancements in the narrowband space led a development team that would later evolve into a global wireless product known as WiMax.• Led the Team that had a 38% market share-number 1 in the Wireless Access Market;

Initially joined as Accounting and Control Manager for Europe, Middle East and Africa, during a period of fast growth was promoted to Senior Manager for Finance at the World Trade Headquarters and 1 year later promoted to Finance Director for Nortel World Trade Consolidations group. In 1994 was offered my first overseas appointment in Paris as Finance Director for France. In 1995 following a company reorganization expanded my role to cover mainland Europe and in 1997 returned to the UK where I took on my first joint finance/GM role, which later led to the restructuring of the Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) business that necessitated a factory closure employing 800 people and negotiating with national and local governments.
