Consultant, mainly active in the public sector, founder-entrepreneur and investorI started my career started in automobile marketing and events with an early presence in Czech Republic during the Volkswagen take-over of Skoda, months after the Velvet Revolution. International Coordinator for the Skoda Rally Racing Team whilst being very close to the management of Onyx F1, I acquired, hands-on experience in managing events in difficult circumstances.In Belgium I got involved in Merit Communications, which later merged into one of the world's leaders in Call Centers: Sitel Corporation. My work as an account manager ensured survival of Merit Communications in it's start-up years. After a short presence with (inter)networking equipment pioneer Black Box Communications I moved on to become Belgian CEO of Call Center market leader Teleperformance Belux.I left the company on request of a group of Swedish investors to become European Market Manager and Country Manager Belgium for Signform, a company launching encrypted document transport over the internet. Having sold my participation after the flotation of the company in early 2000, I was appointed member of the board of directors of the Econocom Group where I was the first board member to promote Java on the level of development and the use of PRINCE2 as project management methodology. In 2002 I decided to become and independent consultant specializing in the management of large IT-driven transformational sales and marketing projects and use my experience in the domain to align IT deliverables with business needs. This activity has evolved over time and is now oriented towards big data, data consumption and analysis. Industry domains evolved from Finance to Public Sector, with a strong knowledge of Homeland Security IT.My investments activities are focused on bio-tech, applied Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.In 2020-2021, during the COVID Pandemic, I was the acting president of the Belgian Federal Technical Committee in the fight againts COVID-19.
