Copy Chief for Disney-Hyperion, Hyperion Avenue, and Marvel Press, along with associated sub-imprints. I manage the copyediting department in DPW's New York office, and determine copyediting practices and procedures there, while overseeing both in-house staff and a team of recurring employees (who work on a project-by-project basis). We work a range of titles, including both fiction and nonfiction, targeted at all ages, from beginning readers to adults.

I was a frequent contributor to the Los Angeles Review of Books for many years; my fiction and nonfiction has also appeared in The Millions, Bookslut, The Brooklyn Rail, Mr. Beller's Neighborhood, Publisher's Weekly, and Venus, among others. Finalist for a 2016 Mirror Award (Best Commentary).I have worked as a freelance copy editor for several publishers and newspapers, including the New York Post, Macmillan Library Reference, and others.
