As the technology lead for the UK & International business, I am responsible for the technology that powers CDW outside of North America. Leading a team of 80 across the range of IT disciplines covering service delivery, infrastructure, business applications, enterprise data, information security and digital customer experience. Together we ensure that we use technology to help differentiate CDW and deliver great experiences for our customers, coworkers and partners.Achievements so far have included:- Successful delivery of new platforms including Customer Subscription Billing & Self-Service, ServiceNow for Managed Services, Customer Identity Management, Azure Data Lake, Workday HCM, and datacentre, warehouse and office moves with a Salesforce-based CRM approved and underway.- Brought together disparate teams from across the organisation into a combined function with a clear strategy, operating model and connection into the global team.- Rationalised and managed department spend delivering 10% saving in the first full year whilst improving service experience.- Member of UK&I senior leadership team supporting business strategy work, driving operational excellence, managing risk and handling technology aspects of crisis response.

In this role I rapidly built a new, diverse team of over 30 staff, responsible for driving change across Process, Systems and Data and coordinating transformation through robust project and portfolio management.With projects across Enterprise Target Operating Model (ETOM), billing platforms, customer self-service, service management and enterprise architecture, we drove significant change to allow CDW to grow and continually improve the way we meet our customers' needs.

As Head of Technology Solutions I was responsible for the team of 55+ presales architects and specialists covering Hybrid Infrastructure, Cloud, Workspace, Security and Integrated Technology Architecture practices. This role included leading customer opportunities and escalations, partner technical relationships and technology strategy. Achievements included:- Successfully restructured the department to break down silos, align against customer-relevant technology groups and support career progression leading to faster response times, improved seller/customer satisfaction and greater collaborative selling- Redeveloped presales process supporting over 2000 opportunities per month by integrating Dynamics 365 CRM with an existing ERP platform and rolling this out across 150+ staff- Defined, created, hired for and guided a multi-technology architecture practice of 5 that in 12 months won over £50m of business as well as the introduction of a TAM function- Grew the team by over 20 roles- Drove across-the board improvement in coworker survey scores resulting in scores above the CDW average and UK High Performing Company average in every category

In this role I brought a team of 14 traditionally independent architects and specialists together into a close-knit team and led them as we drove more integrated and services-led solutions. Achievements included:- Engagement lead for a successful opportunity with a major EU software company supporting their journey towards IT as a Service supported by a £3m+ hybrid cloud platform- Building and owning a platform of standardised content and shared knowledge across 150 presales staff

In this role I led presales engagements with key customers as well as acting as a senior architect and mentor within the team. Achievements included:- Winning a £7m+ TCV outsource deal across cloud, workspace and managed services- Overseeing the turnaround of a multi-million complex at-risk project resulting in successful delivery, further contracts and winning CDW's Outstanding Technical Achievement award- Driving process and documentation standards across 30 architects that improved customer experience and reduced risk

Working as a self-employed consultant I built a business delivering solutions, services and support to a range of customers, both directly and via third parties. Starting in the SOHO market, my business quickly developed into providing systems for a number of SME and Public-Sector customers, particularly in education, during which time I built up invaluable experience across a wide range of technologies and solutions.This developed into mainly supplying services through third parties, during which time I was responsible for a number of engagements at a Lead Consultant and Solutions Architect level, delivering on multi-stream projects with a value in excess of £1m with tight budget and deadline constraints.Throughout this time I have developed strong commercial, project and people management skills. I have employed staff, managed teams, negotiated contracts with customers and suppliers and managed supply chains to ensure successful project delivery.
