First starting the business as a kitchen porter, I was very enthusiastic to move up within the business. I quickly became confident in the kitchen which led to being trained to cook as a chef; allowing me to learn to deliver a high quality product in stressful and busy working conditions. I then undertook the challenge of working behind the bar and also as a waiter; this led to working full time and becoming a Manager. The job role ensured I managed my time effectively, being organised to meet all tasks. The role involved a high level of responsibility, customer service and the importance of being part of a team. I was able to show strong leadership skills within a fast paced, changing environment, where decisions have to be made quickly.

As a Firework Technician, I was in charge of using my creative mind to efficiently organise upcoming firework displays. I had to run to a deadline and meet customer requirements. I also had to uphold a high maintained warehouse, making sure everything was clean, tidy and organised. I developed project management and decision making skills that would benefit both the company and importantly, the customer.
