Managing Director / Owner
CurrentArchitectural Plants is open to both retail and trade customers. Our team of horticultural experts are on hand to welcome you from Monday – Saturday, 9am – 5pm. Our polytunnels are used to grow some of our most familiar delights from across the world: large palms, succulents, climbers, exotic evergreens, tree ferns and our own homegrown favourites. It is also home to a considerable number of unusual and even quite risky plants for those that like a challenge. The Niwaki production zone sits centrally to all of this, surrounded by ever evolving lines of seasonal temptation. Outside our displays extend by another two spans to incorporate our more hardy and mature tree specimens, a proper nursery for smaller shrubs, two shade houses and our paths lined with a variety of exciting bamboos. Beyond this and out into the surrounding land is the nucleus of our production field where we are cultivating more of the blobs, pillows and unusual Niwaki that we love so much. We take an enormous amount of pride in our displays and in the quality of our plants. You will find everything clearly laid out and labelled with our traffic light hardiness rating system. We categorise and name all our plants using the correct botanical latin. Taxonomy is an essential practice to help us understand and properly care for the plants. It also means we can offer you the very best advice and knowledge. Our team are always around to explain and elaborate further, help you explore, arrange a delivery or help to pack your car with plants. Our sales team can offer you direction on our Planting and Creative Maintenance services. Should you want the full attention of our Garden Design experts while you are browsing, they will help arrange an initial consultation.
