Now running our glamping businesses Skoolie Stays, and The Vacationist Eco-Cabin: a luxury converted US School Bus and a high-end design-led cabin in the Sussex countryside. We learnt to design, convert and build these lovely boltholes ourselves and change our lives in the process. I have spent most of my career heading up SME teams in in the Events Industry, but I’ve also been self-employed for a significant period where I successfully grew my skill-set whilst running my own business. I have run companies, teams, single events, and event festivals, being involved at every level both operationally and on the sales and marketing side. I’m creative, both personally and in business, and believe work is for enjoyment and fulfilment: for ourselves, employees, customers, all leading to a happy bottom line!Delivering clear profitability through effective sales and marketing strategies is a primary motivation of mine. Always with one eye on budgets and targets, I believe in deploying a company’s best natural assets to reach goals. I also have broad experience of management and technical knowledge. I love being close to all parts of a business. Effective communication is at the heart of my project management style and the ability to prioritise, maintain perspective, and focus on the real goals that will make projects work. I’m naturally disposed to doing all this with a very positive and sunny outlook!
